Here is a Barbey’s Sunshine Beer Tray from the Barbey’s Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading PA.  The Barbey’s Sunshine Brewing Company was established in the 1880’s by Peter Barbey and ran under a variety of names and owners all the way till 1951 when the brewery rebranded and changed it’s name to the Sunshine Brewing Company which lasted till 1971 when the brewery closed.

Trays like this one would have been distributed to local bars and taverns to be used as serving trays as well as be used to advertise Sunshine Beer. This Barbey’s Sunshine Beer Tray is in excellent condition for it’s age although it does have a bit of touchup paint on the inside of the rim probably put there by the previous owner or possibly from the bar owner that was using it.  There are actually 3 variations of this tray, one like this (the more common one) and the other 2 look more like a pie plate with a lot deeper of a color. Then there are 2 variations of the pie plate trays as well. Click here to view the rarest of the 3 variations.  I am alway on the lookout for the other sunshine beer pie plate tray.
