This Bavarian Premium Beer Sign is from the Mount Carbon Brewing Company located in Pottsville, PA. This box lighted Bavarian Premium Beer Sign is from the 1950’s to the 1960’s era and it’s in excellent condition for it’s age. This Bavarian Premium Beer Sign is very eye catching even when it’s off. I love the PA dutch old german guy mascot the the Mount Carbon Brewery used in their logo and through out their marketing and advertising over the years.
Bavarian Type Beer was one of the Mount Carbon Brewery’s flagship beers. Bavarian Type Beer was produced from 1941 to 1976 at which time the Yuengling Brewery bought out the Mount Carbon Brewery, brewing equipment, and all of the beer recipes. I’ve heard that the exact same Mount Carbon Bavarian Type Beer recipe is still brewed to this day but under the label as Yuengling Premium Beer from the Yuengling Brewery located in Pottsville, PA.
