Here are a Deppen Beer Glass Corner Sign from the Deppen Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Deppen Beer Glass Corner Sign is from the early 1900’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
This pre-prohibition era Deppen Beer Sign was made by the Donaldson Art Sign Company located in Covington, KY. The sign is made of a wooden body with a metal riveted frame around a reverse-painted glass face. Signs like these would have been hung on a wooden post outside of a hotel or tavern entrance advertising Deppen Beer.
There are actually 2 variations of this Deppen Beer Glass Corner Sign. The other variation incorporates the graphics of a Deppen Beer Bottle with the label that reads “Old German Style Queen Quality Beer” which was one of the Deppen Brewery’s flagship beers produced at the time.
