Here is a Mount Carbon Beer Tin Sign from the Mount Carbon Brewing Company located in Pottsville, PA. This sign is in excellent condition for it’s age; it’s probably from the 1940’s era. This Mount Carbon Beer Tin Sign has embossed letters and is made of a thin tin with a small looped string hanger at the top. I love the blue graphics on this sign especially the text adverting Mount Carbon Beer Ale Porter as well as the old mount Carbon Brewery Keystone logo in the center of the sign.
The sign itself is a Lee See Art Sign made by the Leyse Aluminum Co. located in Kewaunee, WIS. Signs like these would have been displayed behind the bar or hung throughout the bars and taverns to advertise Mount Carbon Beer. There are actually 3 variations to this sign, all with the same graphics just different colors and text. One being blue like this one, another orange reading “Pale Ale”, and the other being a deep dark red almost maroon.
