Here is an Old Indian Beer Sign from the Old Indian Brewing Company located in Indiana, PA. This Old Indian Beer Sign is from the late 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. It is approximately 6″ X 9″ and is made of very thick cardboard with silver foil embossed lettering. The tagline “Par with the Best Second to None” was also used on some of the Old Indian Brewery’s beer bottle labels too.
I believe this Old Indian Beer Sign originally had an easel back for display but over time it may have fallen off or been removed. This sign would have been displayed on the bar back or hung on the walls of taverns and distributors to advertising Old Indian Beer to patrons. In general signs from the Old Indian Brewery are generally hard to find because the brewery was in business from 1937 to 1939.
