Here is an Old Reading Bank Can from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Old Reading Beer Bank Can is probably from the 1940’s era and is in very good condition for it’s age. It does have some slight surface rust on it and some light dents. This is one of the tougher variations of flat top bank cans made by the brewery; mostly you see this can as a flat top beer can and even that one is tough to find in good condition. An Old Reading Beer Bank Can like this one would have been distributed as a promotional item from the brewery to the public. I’ve also heard they were used in bars and taverns on bar tops to collect tips.
It’s a very nice can and I’m happy to have one in my collection.
