The sign is known as a bottle cap sign because of it’s similar shape that of a bottle cap with crimped edges. This Old Reading Beer sign is made of a thick translucent plastic mounted to a metal body similar to that of an advertising clock can. The sign is also backlit with the graphics painted on the front of the plastic face.
