Here is an Old Reading J-Spout Beer Can from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Old Reading J-Spout Beer Can is considered a low profile j-spout cone top can; which makes it a very tough can to find in any condition in that the brewery didn’t use this early design for very long. They later switched to the high profile cone top can and then eventually to the Old Reading Flat Top Beer Can. I love the graphics on this can; the use of the Old Reading Brewery’s Pennsylvania Dutch mascot “Old Gus” makes this cans very desirable to many can and breweriana collectors.
This Old Reading J-Spout Beer Can is in rough condition although the graphics are still very legible and the colors are still vibrant. It’s a very rare and hard to find can and I’m happy to have it in my collection although I wouldn’t mind finding an upgrade at some point.
