Here is a Reading Premium Beer Lighted Sign from the Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. Signs like these were usually hung from the ceiling over the bar, on the bar backs, over the doors, or in the windows. It is very eye catching especially when it is lite-up. It has a pull switch on the side for it to be turned on or off.  Even when it’s off it’s still a very attractive advertising sign.

The Reading Premium Beer Lighted Sign is made of an aluminum light box with 3 florescent light tubes spaced out horizontally inside the box. The front graphic consists of 2 pieces; a plastic semi-transparent reflector (similar to a tail light of a car) and a piece of thick plexiglass with the colored graphics on it. This beer light is in very good condition for it’s age, usually you find them with faded colors on the plexiglass or damage to the face.

The Reading Brewing Company also made 2 other signs similar to this one to advertise other beers they had. One was for PR 8 (Pale Reserve 8 oz) and the other was for Bergheim Beer. The Bergheim Beer light is by far the rarest and hardest to find. The Sunshine Brewing Company also of Reading, PA made similar signs too to compete with Reading’s signs in the bars and taverns.
