Here is a Readings Birch Beer Tap Handle from the Reading Bottling Works located in Reading, PA. This Readings Birch Beer Tap Handle is made of painted wood with a threaded base to be placed on a soda tap shank. It is in excellent condition for it’s age; I’d put a date on this tap handle around the 1970’s era.
Reading Birch Beer is still made to this day but not by the Reading Bottling Works but rather by the Reading Draft & Universal Carbonics also know as Reading Carbonics located in Reading, PA. Reading Draft and Universal Carbonics recently has recently changed hands and is under new ownership. The new owners still to this day make a line of various delicious sodas as well as sell quality home brewing and wine making supplies.
