Here is a Scheidts Beer Porcelain Neon Sign from the Adam Scheidt Brewing Company located in Norristown, PA.  This Scheidts Beer Porcelain Neon Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.  Signs like this one would have been hung outside of bars and taverns lite and lettered with in tubes to advertising Scheidt’s Beer.

This Scheidts Beer Sign originally would have had another “porcelain skin” on the other side all mounted to a metal box with glass neon tube lettering.  The larger round holes in this Scheidt’s sign are used for the neon lettering to come in and out of and attach to a large neon transformer.  I am planning on making a metal “can” box complete with mounting hooks for it and having the neon lettering restored in the near future.  Be sure to check back soon to see this awesome sign when it’s complete and back to it’s former glory.
