Here is a Sprenger Beer Matchstick Holder from the Sprenger Brewing Company located in Lancaster, PA. This Sprenger Beer Matchstick Holder is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
It is made out of cast iron and is made to look like an old wooden beer keg barrel decorated with hop vines growing around it. On the front it reads “Sprenger Brewing Company Lancaster, PA” and on the back it reads “High Grade Beer Pure & Wholesome” almost as though the text was branded into the side of the barrel. I especially like it because it’s such a detailed piece of advertising.
