Here is a Yuengling Beer Ball Tap Knob from the Yuengling Brewery located in Pottsville, PA.  This Yuengling Beer Ball Tap Knob is made of metal, lucite and an porcelain enamel face. It is in very good condition for it’s age; I’d put a date on this ball tap knob around the 1940’s era.  Ball taps like these would haven been used in bars and taverns to mark what beer were on tap.

I have another variation of this Yuengling Beer Ball Tap Knob in my collection and from what I can gather that one is the only variation known. The difference between the two is very slight.  This one having the red portion around the word “Yuengling” is a metallic red; while my other variation has a solid red and the background color is a light cream color.  Click here to view the other variation.
