Here is a Yuengling’s Ice Cream Menu Board from the Yuengling’s Dairy located in Pottsville, PA.  This Yuenglings Ice Cream Menu Board is from the early 1920’s and is in very good condition for it’s age.  It is approximately 8″ X 24″ and is made of thick painted metal with a thin chain hanger; the menu labels like “Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry ect.” are made of cardboard and are interchangeable.

This is a little outside of beer and brewery advertising items that I collect but it is part of early prohibition era history.  When prohibition was enacted in 1920, the D. G. Yuengling & Sons Brewery opened the Yuengling’s Dairy across the street from the brewery as a way to get through prohibition.  The dairy was in operation all the way up until 1985 when they closed.  The original Dairy building is still standing to this day and has been recently renovated and is used by the brewery for their gift shop, museum, and events.  Yuengling’s Ice Cream was also brought back in 2014 and is making delicious ice cream to this day.
