Locking Brass Beer Spigot

$125.00

For sale is a solid brass Locking Beer Spigot used for tapping beer or wine. This spigot dates back to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Spigots like these were used primarily by landlords and families living together as a way to safeguard their beer and wine while it was in barrels. The beer or wine could only be tapped by using the key to open and close the spigot. The shank on the back end is open with small holes used to filter sediment while tapping. I got this spigot via auction about 4 years ago from an online auction in Scotland.  It is clearly very old, 100% complete, fully operational, and all original.
