This Mauch Chunk Freys Beer Ball Tap Knob this from the 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. This Mauch Chunk Ball Tap knob is made of a porcelain enamel and metal face mounted on a black bakelite body.
The word “Frey’s” on the knob is in reference to the flagship brand of beer that the brewery made at that time. The Mauch Chunk Brewery produced a variety of beer, ale, and porter under the Frey’s name like Frey’s Bock, Frey’s Porter, Frey’s Lager Beer, and Frey’s Premium Beer.
There are actually 2 variations of this Mauch Chunk Freys Beer Tap Knob, one with a red face (like the one pictured here) and the other with a white face with red lettering.
