The Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company was established by William H. Forbes in 1892 located in Boston, MA.  They produced lithography artwork and worked closely with sign makers like Chas. S. Shonk, Meek & Beach, and American Artworks Company just to name a few.  They produced various advertising items including bullheads, trade cards, calendars, and lithographs. Offices in Boston, New York, Chicago, and London.  At their height, they had more than 600 workers including designers, artists, engravers, and lithographers.

During World War II, they supported the war efforts by printing Allied Military Currency and posters.  They produced advertising items for such companies as Columbia Bicycle, Boston Belting Company, Richardson Manufacturing Company, Chase & Sunburn Coffee, The Boston & Hingham Steamboat Company, Nantucket Beach Railroad Company, Mount Carmel Brewing Company, Brown Shoe Company, and Wieland Brewing Company just to name a few.

They eventually closed sometime in the 1950s era.  The original Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company headquarters and printing building is still standing to this day; click here to view the building.
