The Aircraft Manufacturing Company was established on May 10, 1926, located in Dayton, OH.  The Aircraft Manufacturing Company produced Art Deco ceiling fans known as “Fan-O-Plane” fans for various companies across the country.

Their fans were powered by motors made by the Master Electric Company located in Dayton, OH. Their fans resembled front prop airplanes suspended from the ceiling of various establishments including train stations, general stores, saloons, and taverns just to name a few. Their advertising billed their products to be “The Most Popular Fan In the United States, South American Countries, In England and East India”.  The design of their fans was developed by an aeronautical engineer by the name of G. N. Missogenis. They produced 5 different models that included ceiling and floor models both that resembled single-wing planes and bi-planes.

In 1939, they eventually ceased operations and closed for good.  The original manufacturing and headquarters building is still standing to this day; click here to view the building.
