The Ithaca Sign Works was established in the early 1900’s era located in Ithaca, NY. The Ithaca Signs began an early “trade sign” maker during the time. The signs that they produced at the time were hand painted wooden trade signs, usually tall and vertical signs; as well as smaller diamond and square shaped mirrors.
Ithaca Signs manufactured both advertising and directional signs for various companies and industries including automotive, jewelers, watch makers and watch repair, shoe maker and cobblers, hat makers, clothing maker, general store, garage, drug stores and pharmacy, piano makers, banks, breweries, cigar makers, and taverns just to name a few.
The Ithaca Sign Works is still in business to this day; they are currently operating as an outdoor advertising sign manufacturer.
