The Rodier & Fitzgerald Co. was established in the late 1800’s era located in New York City, NY.  Rodier and Fitzgerald Company was a producer of advertising signs specializing in reverse-painted glass signs for various companies and industries across the country; these signs were marked Rodier Fitzgerald Glass Signs.  The glass signs that they produced were convex glass lens with gilded gold and silver leaf lettering, detailed painted graphics, and mounted in ornate wooden frames.  The back of these signs were stenciled in black with the text “Rodier & Fitzgerald Glass Signs” on the wooden backer panel. They produced both large glass rectangular “bar back” signs as well as convex glass wall hanging signs too. The frames that these Rodier & Fitzgerald signs were often mounted in were also very ornate with gold and silver accents and detailed wood carvings.

Breweries from across the country took a special liking to what Rodier & Fitzgerald Co. was producing at the time and hired them to produce sign to advertise their brewery as well as the products of beer, ale, lager, and porter that they produced.
