Gamse Lithographing Company Inc. BaltimoreThe Gamse Lithographing Company Inc. was established by brothers Herman and Benno Gamse in 1896 located in Baltimore, MD. Gamse Lithographing Company Inc. produced promotional labels, advertising signs, and calendars for various companies across the country.

By 1910, Gamse Lithographing Company was a large producer of beer bottle labels for various breweries across the country.  They produced labels as well as lithos and advertising signs for breweries like Yuengling, Stegmaier, Lion, Mount Carbon, Dubois, St. Mary, Fort Pitt, Duquesne, Pittsburgh, Narragansett, and Sebewaing just to name a few. They also had contracts with winemakers and distilling spirit makers and produced bottle labels for them too.

In 1955, they moved to a much larger facility. In 1983, Gamse merged with The Creative Label Company.  They are still in business to this day operating under the name Gamse Label & Packaging; they are still in the advertising industry producing labels and packaging.
