Raycon Manufacturing Company Inc was established in 1946 located in Erie, PA. Raycon Manufacturing Company Inc produced countertop-lighted advertising signs for various companies across the country. Their signs were branded and known as “Fluraflex Display” or “Fluraflex Electric Advertising Display Signs”; they were made of reverse-painted glass graphic faces mounted in aluminum backlit bodies.

The style signs served as countertop displays on the bar backs as well as hung from chains on the walls and in windows to advertise products.  Raycon produced various advertising signs for a lot of Pennsylvania breweries including Yuengling, Barbey’s Inc, Sunshine, Hornung, Esslinger, Columbia, Latrobe, Rolling Rock, Stoney, Wayne, and Schmidt just to name a few.

They continued in business up until 1957 when they ceased operation; according to records however they never officially went out of business or sold their interests.  The original building of the headquarters is still standing to this day but has since been renamed the Renaissance Centre building; click here to view the building.
