The Electric Ad Clock Company was established in the 1930’s era located in Chicago, lL. The Electric Ad Clock Co. manufactured neon clocks with scrolling advertising inserts that would rotate as the time changed displaying up to 6 different advertisements.

They produced these costs to advertise breweries, gas, oil, service stations, food, and hardware stores just to name a few. The movements that they put in their neon clocks were Telechron motored movements. The body was always a lightly stained wood with a semi gloss varnish.  These clocks would have been displayed as counter top displays.

They also produced the Revolving Ad Clock as well under the Electric Clock Company name. The Revolving Ad Clock where really similar in motion and display but the difference was they were rectangular in shape and had a larger scrolling / revolving ad graphics on it. These closes used telechron motored movements as well.

Note: it appears they might have had a sister company by the name of the National Specialty Sales Company in Brooklyn NY, that distributed “Neon Ad Clocks” as well.
