The National Enameling Company was established in 1895 and was located in Cincinnati, OH. They produced porcelain enamel advertising signs known as “Iron Enamel Signs”. They produced porcelain enamel advertising signs, directional signs, badges, medals, and porcelain shaving mugs.

They produced advertising signs for various companies and industries across the country; among these industries were breweries like Indianapolis, Strohs, and Pabst just to name a few.  They also produced porcelain enamel signs and badges for companies like Kodak Camera Company, Western Union, and Lowes Brothers Paint.  National Enameling eventually closed in 1915; they closed due to a lack of sales and increased competition from other local sign shops.
