Here is a Reading’s Beverages Sign from the Reading Bottling Works located in Reading, PA. This Reading’s Beverages Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. It is made of thick cardboard and is approximately 30″ X 12″. Signs like these would have been displayed in malt shops, general stores, and beer distributors onto of Reading Soft Drink and soda display shelves.
The graphics on this sign is so retro and incorporated the Reading Bottling Company logo of the script “R”. The text on this Reading Bottling Sign reads “Every Body Likes Reading’s Beverages”, “We Recommend Them”, and “A Product of the Reading Bottling Company”; all of which was tagline that the company used on various advertising at that time. It’s even colored in the classic branded color scheme of yellow, black and red.
