Here is a Bartels Pure Beer Sign from the Bartel’s Brewing Company located in Edwardsville, PA. This pre-prohibition era beer sign dates from the around 1910s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.

This sign was made by the Chas. W. Shonk Company located in Chicago, IL.  It is approximately 28″ by 22″ and is made of tin; this style sign is known as a self-framed tin.  The graphics and typography on the sign depict a batch of hops with the brewery’s seal, the typography “Bartels Pure Beer” and “Bartels Brewing Co. Kingston Station, Wilkes-Barre, PA”.
