Here is a Esslingers Beer Truck Sign from the Esslinger Brewing Company located in Philadelphia, PA.  This Esslinger’s Beer Sign dates from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.

This sign was made by the Kirby Coggeshall Steinau Company located in Milwaukee, WI.  It is approximately 10″ wide and is made of a composite material and would have been originally mounted on a wooden base. Composite signs like this were very popular during the time do to the metal shortages of WWII. The graphics on this Esslinger Sign show the Esslinger Brewery’s mascot “Kingpin” (also known as “Little Man”) driving an Beer Delivery Truck with the main advertising reading “Esslinger’s Ale Beer Porter Since 1868”.

There are other variations of these Kirby Coggeshall Steinau composite Esslinger sign, all using Kingpin in a variety of positions and themes. There are also a few wooden ones too.  I am actively looking for any of the others to add to my collection; please contact me if you have either and are interested in selling them.
