Here is a Hornung Beer Lighted Sign from the Jacob Hornung Brewing Company located in Philadelphia, PA. This Hornung Beer Lighted Sign dates from about the 1940s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
The sign was made by the Ohio Advertising Display Company located in Cincinnati, OH; this style of sign is known as a “Fireball Streamliner” sign model. It is approximately 24″ wide and is made of a reverse-painted glass face mounted in a backlit metal body. When lit the sign gives off a neon green glow which is very eye catching. Fireball Streamliner signs like this one would have been displayed in the windows or on the bar back of a tavern to advertise Jacob Hornung Brewery products.
