Here is an Iroquois Fine Beer Sign from the Iroquois Brewing Company located in Buffalo, NY. This Iroquois Beer Sign is from the early 1900’s era and is in excellent restored condition for its age, it’s even a testament to see a sign like this survive the test of time.
The graphics on this sign depict the Iroquois Native American Chief in a full feathered head dress with typography that reads “Iroquois Brewery”; while the main advertising across the top and bottom reads “Iroquois Fine Beer”. The sign would have originally been mounted to wooden body or metal frame to be displayed on a post or corner of a building.
The pre-prohibition era sign was made by the sign manufacturing company Ingram-Richardson located in Beaver Falls, PA; it is made of porcelain enamel over steel. This sign was originally found in a trash dump and has been professionally restored.
This is another various of this sign also produced by Ingram-Richardson of Beaver Falls, PA with the exact same graphics. The only difference is it’s curved while this one is flat; both served as corner signs and outdoor advertising signs. I am actively looking for the other variation as well as any other Iroquois Brewery advertising items. Please contact me if you have any and are interested in selling.
