Here is a Reach for Reading Artwork produced for the Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Reach for Reading Artwork dates from about the 1950s era and is in excellent condition for its age.
The original artwork was probably produced by a commercial artist working for the brewery at the time. We have not seen this artwork used on a production level, but assuming from the size and ratio it may have been used as billboard advertising. The imagery is handprinted onto a piece of bristle board with the typography adheared for placement. The subject matter is very nostalgic and easy to read with the tagline “Reach for Reading”.
