Here is a Stoeckle Beer Sign from the Joseph Stoeckle Brewing Company located in Wilmington, DE. This pre-prohibition era beer sign dates from the around 1910 era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
The sign is approximately 23″ by 31″ and is made of “self-framed” tin. The graphics on this sign depicts four people pulling up to an old hotel in a model-t automobile, there is also a waiter in the front of the hotel serving bottles of beer and a hanging Stoeckle Fine Beer & Porter sign above him. Signs like these would have been displayed inside of a tavern or distributor to advertise and promote the brewery’s products.
