National Beer Lighted Sign
Here is a National Beer Lighted Sign from the National Brewing Company located in Baltimore, MD. This National Beer Lighted Sign is from the 1950’s era and is in very good condition for it’s age.
This sign is approximately 30″ wide and made of reverse-painted glass mounted in a back-lit metal body. The lettering on this sign reads “National Beer” and “Quality so good you can taste it!”. Sign like these would have been display as a bar back display or hung in tavern windows to advertise National Beer and National Bohemian Beer (Natty Boh) to patrons.
Fox Deluxe Beer Sign
Here is a Fox Deluxe Beer Sign from the Fox Deluxe Brewing Company located in Grand Rapids, MI. This Fox Deluxe Beer Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
The sign is approximately 6″ wide and was made by the Bastian Brothers Company located in Rochester, NY. This style of Bastian Bros Co. sign is made of embossed brass with a cardboard backer.
This NOS (New-Old Stock) sign was originally found as part of a salesman kit from Bastian Brothers Company.
E&B Special Beer Sign
Here is a E&B Special Beer Sign from the Ekhardt & Becker Brewing Company located in. Detroit, MI. This sign is from the 1940s era and is in very good condition considering how old it is.
It approximately 14″ by 10″ and is made of lithograph-printed tin wrapped over a cardboard backer. The sign was made by the Bastian Brothers Company located in Rochester, NY. The graphics on the sign depict on of the brewery’s flagship beers “E&B Special Beer” with the text that reads “Here’s Heath!” and “It’s Kraeusened”. The German term “Kraeusened” is meaning for the addition of actively fermenting wort as an inoculant to induce fermentation in a different batch of wort or beer.
Reading Beer “Taste Test” Poster
This is a Reading Premium Beer "Taste Test" poster from the Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. The poster is about 11"W X 14.5"H and displays images of cans from Miller, Budweiser, Schlitz, and Reading. The poster was meant to advertise that Reading Premium Beer was not only cheaper but it tasted a lot better then bigger brand name beers. Posters like these were probably distributed prior to the Reading brewery's closing due to competition with larger breweries in 1976. All of these posters are new-old-stock and in excellent condition.
