Here is a Premium Sunshine Beer Clock from the Barbey’s Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading PA. This Premium Sunshine Beer Clock is considered a bar back sign which would have been displayed behind the bar or on a shelf to advertise Sunshine Beer in bars and taverns. I believe this clock is from the 1940’s to 1950’s era. I love the detailed graphics on the glass, the gold leaf highlights, and the art deco metal base. That bottom script text that is painted on the reverse glass that reads “Unexcelled” is awesome too. Clocks like these are exceptionally hard to find in any condition.
I found this clock in rough condition with most of the original reverse painted glass paint peeled off due to the heat of the light bulbs used to illuminate the sign. I got this Premium Sunshine Beer Clock professionally restored by Bob Porter and his team of restoration professionals at A. Ludwig Klein & Son Inc.
