Here is a Budweiser Barley Malt Syrup Sign from the Anheuser-Busch Inc. located in St. Louis, MO.  This prohibition era Budweiser Barley Malt Syrup Sign is from the 1920’s era and is in excellent condition for its age.  This sign is made to resemble a Budweiser Barley Malt Syrup container and would have been displayed on a bar back inside a general store.

Barley Malt Syrup was a beer supplement product that was non-alcoholic and could legally be sold during prohibition.  Although, part of reason it sold so well during the time was because if mixed with yeast and fermented it would produce alcohol.  Barley Malt Syrup was part of early home brewing during prohibition between 1920 to 1933.
