Here is a Daeufers Beer Glass Sign from the Daeufer-Lieberman Brewing Company located in Allentown, PA. This Daeufers Beer Sign is from the early 1930’s era and in in fair condition for it’s age.
This Daeufer Sign is approximately 28″ wide and is made of reverse-painted glass. The graphics on this sign display the script Daeufer’s lettering that was used on a variety of their advertising as well as the text on the bottom that reads “Allentown’s Favorite Since 1848”.
This glass sign would have originally been a part of a large double sided outdoor lighted sign that would have hung outside of a tavern or beer distributor to advertise Daeufer-Lieberman Brewery and Beer to patrons. The original sign would have been made up of 2 glass panels like this one as well as 2 other glass panels naming the bar or proprietor, and would have been mount in a jagged yellow and black metal body with hanging hooks at the top.
