Here is a Old Reading Beer Porcelain Sign from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Old Reading Beer Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
This is approximately 40″ wide and is made of 2 single sided Old Reading porcelain enamel signs mounted on a metal can with mounting hooks. There are actually 2 variations of this Old Reading Beer Sign, both are made of porcelain enamel over metal, the only difference being the size, click here to view the other variation.
Signs like this one would have been displayed outside of a tavern or distributor to advertise Old Reading to patrons. This sign would have originally had a red neon outline around the outside of the sign. I do plan to have the neon redone at a later time when I get around to displaying it in my collection.
