Here is a Yuengling Extra Fine Lager Sign from the D. G. Yuengling & Son Brewery located in Pottsville, PA.  This Yuengling Lager Sign is from the late 1800’s era and is in fair condition for it’s age.

This sign is approximately 36″ wide and is made of reverse-painted glass with gold and silver gilted leafing. The graphics on this sign include the large lettering reading “D. G. Yuengling & Son” with their early representation of an American Eagle perched on a wooden keg of Yuengling Beer. Originally, this sign would have been displayed on the wall behind the bar of a tavern to advertising Yuengling Porter Ale and Extra Fine Lager Beer to patrons.

There is actually another variation of this sign, the only difference being that the lithograph of the Eagle in the center is a more detailed and colorful; click here to view that variation.  I am actively looking for that variation, please contact me if you have one.
