Here is a Berghoff Beer Neon Sign from the Berghoff Brewing Corp. located in Fort Wayne, IN. This Berghoff Beer Neon Sign is from the 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
This sign was made by the Neon Products Inc. sign company located in Lima, OH. It is approximately 25″ wide and is made of sandblasted glass mounted on a metal body with a neon outline. When lit, the sandblasted lettering is very eye catching and would have been displayed in the window or as a bar back display in a tavern or distributor to advertise Berghoff to patrons. The lettering and graphics on this sign reads “Famous Berghoff Beer” with the brewery’s eagle crest insignia towards the center.
There is actually another variation of this neon products inc. Berghoff Sign. Both are very similar except the lettering doesn’t have a shadowed line like the one that I have also the eagle logo is different; click here to view the other variation. I am actively looking for the other variation, please contact me if you have one for sale. My guess is that mine might have been some kind of sample or a proof that was produced for the brewery to view before they went into production.
