Here is a Berkshire Ale TOC Sign from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Berkshire Ale TOC Sign is in excellent condition for it’s age; I’d date this sign probably from around the 1940’s era. At the time Berkshire Ale was one of the brewery’s flagship ales and was brewed from 1939 to 1969; along with one of the brewery’s other flagship beers called Pale Reserve Beer.
The Old Reading Brewing Company had 2 variations of this sign made to advertise Berkshire Ale; one being large and brown and the other green and small. This Berkshire Ale TOC Sign is the rarer of the 2 variations; the other variation is bigger in size and primarily brown in color instead of green.
