Here is a Sunshine Beer Porcelain Sign from the Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This double sided Sunshine Beer Porcelain Sign is part of a corner bar sign that would have been hung above the door of an old corner bar or tavern. Corner signs like these usually had spotlights shinning on them from the brace jacket or sometimes a neon light outlining the sign. This sign is in excellent condition for it’s age, it’s very hard to find these signs in any condition let alone finding one like this in perfect original condition. The only issue with this sign is a small knick in the “I” in SUNSHINE and a few light scratches under the “EER” in BEER; other then that light flaw it is in perfect condition.
When I got this sign it even came with the original steel frame and hooks that it would have hung from. The hooks are in perfect condition too and aren’t even rusted like most that you see. Although this sign is in perfect condition, but as a whole it’s not complete. It is missing the other side of the sign. So the hunt will continue in order to find that other sign.
