Here is a Piel’s Beer Bullet Light Sign from the Piel Bros. Inc. Brewery located in Brooklyn, NY. This Piels Beer Lighted Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. The graphics on this Piels Beer Light are of a hand holding a pilsener beer glass with the taglines “Say Piel’s” and “Flavor that Challenges Imported Beer”.
Bullet Lights like this one were manufactured by the Cincinnati Advertising Products Company located in Cincinnati, OH; and were also known as Blue Ribbon Displays under the Cincinnati Advertising Products Co. name. This style of sign was known as bullet lights also known as shield lights and was made of a curved piece of reverse-painted glass mounted on a wooden base, with a metal shroud and was back lit.
