Here is a Rahr Beer Vitrolite Sign from the William Rahr Sons Company located in Manitowoc, WI. This pre-prohibition era Rahr Beer Vitrolite Sign is from the early 1900’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
The graphics on this Vitrolite is the Rahr Brewery’s insignia and logo in the center with the text that reads “Rahr Beer, The Brew For You”. This Rahr Vitrolite Sign was made by the Meyercord Company located in Chicago, IL under the Vitrolite name. It is approximately 22″ X 15″ and made of milk glass with a full color painted decal onto of the milk glass.
There are actually 2 variation of this Rahr Beer Glass Sign; both are Vitrolite signs but with different graphics on them. The other variation has the head of a stag or elk on it and the prominent color of the sign is in blue.
