Here is a Valley Forge Beer Cab Light from the Adam Scheidt Brewing Company located in Norristown, PA.  This Valley Forge Beer Cab Light is from the early 1930s era and is in excellent condition for its age.

This sign was made by the Gillco Glass Sign Company located in Philadelphia, PA.  It is approximately 14″ wide and is made of reverse-painted glass mounted on a backlit claw-footed metal base.  This style of sign is known as a “cab light” or “taxi cab light” because it resembles the light that mounts on the top of older taxi cabs.

There are 2 variations of this Valley Forge Beer Cab Light all made by the Gillco Glass Sign Company. The other variation of this sign is a very slight variation when Washington’s silhouette is wearing a hat and his sword is visible too; click here to view that variation.  There are also 2 other variations from the Adam Scheidt Brewery that advertise Rams Head Ale; click here to view one of them from my collection.

I am actively looking for all the other variations as well as a potential upgrade to the ones I have in better condition; please contact me if you have any of these signs for sale.
