Here is a Stegmaier Beer Button Sign from the Stegmaier Brewing Company located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This Stegmaier Beer Button Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
The sign is approximately 6″ wide and was made by the Bastian Brothers Company located in Rochester, NY. This style of Bastian Bros Co. sign is known as a button sign.
This NOS (New-Old Stock) sign was originally found as part of a salesman kit from Bastian Brothers Company.
National Beer Lighted Sign
Here is a National Beer Lighted Sign from the National Brewing Company located in Baltimore, MD. This National Beer Lighted Sign is from the 1950’s era and is in very good condition for it’s age.
This sign is approximately 30″ wide and made of reverse-painted glass mounted in a back-lit metal body. The lettering on this sign reads “National Beer” and “Quality so good you can taste it!”. Sign like these would have been display as a bar back display or hung in tavern windows to advertise National Beer and National Bohemian Beer (Natty Boh) to patrons.
Esslingers Premium Beer Sign
Here is a Esslingers Premium Beer Sign from the Esslinger Brewery Inc. located in Philadelphia, PA. This Esslingers Premium Beer Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
The graphics on this Esslinger Beer Sign is of the Esslinger’s logo and the brewery’s mascot “King Pin (aka Little Man)”. The typography on the sign reads “Philadelphia’s Only Premium Beer” which was a tagline that the brewery used in it’s marketing plan predominantly in the early 1940’s era.
This Esslinger’s Beer Sign is approximately 4″ X 6″ and is made of foil over composite material and would have had a string hanger and metal easel on the back for display.
Neuweiler’s Ale & Beer Sign
Here is a Neuweiler’s Ale & Beer Sign from the Neuweiler Brewing Company Located in Allentown, PA. This Neuweiler’s Ale & Beer Sign is from the 1940s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
This Neuweiler Sign was made by the Ohio Advertising Display Company located in Cincinnati, OH; it is approximately 24″ wide and is made of a reverse-painted glass face mounted in an art deco-style backlit metal body.
When lit the sign gives off a neon green glow which is very eye catching. Signs like this one would have been displayed in the windows or on the bar back of a tavern to advertise Neuweiler Brewery products.
