Here is a Miller High Life Composite Sign from the Miller Brewing Company located in Milwaukee, WI. This Miller High Life Sign is from the 1940s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is. Signs like this one would have been hung on the wall of a tavern or displayed on the bar back to advertise Miller products to patrons.
It is approximately 8″ by 18″ and is made of a composite material with a metal easel stand on the back for display. Although, there isn’t a makers mark on it we believe this sign was made by the Kirby-Coggeshall-Steinau Company located in Milwaukee, WI. During the mid 1940’s, this type of composite sign was very popularly produced with various breweries and companies at a time with the metal shortages caused by World War II. We are aware of few other variation of this sign with the same graphics except the bottom text reads “On Tap” instead of “In Bottles”; also there is another with the text “Miller High Life” in red.
