Here is a Daeufer’s Beer Composite Sign from the Daeufer Lieberman Brewing Company located in Allentown, PA.  This Daeufer’s Beer Composite Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.

The sign was made by the Kirby-Coggeshall-Steinau Company located in Milwaukee, WI; it is approximately 8″ wide and made of a wood pulp composite material. The graphics on this Daeufer’s Beer Sign depict a hand toasting a glass of beer toward the “Daeufer’s” typography logo and the phrase “The Friendly Drink”.

The whole sign is actually meant to look like a miniature billboard road sign.  Signs like this one would have been displayed on an easel behind the bar or atop of a cash register.
