Here is a Hampden Beer Keg Sign from the Hampden Brewing Company located in Willimansett, MA. This Hampden Beer Keg Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age.
This sign was made by the Kirby-Coggeshall-Steinau Company located in Milwaukee, WI. This sign is approximately 21″ wide and is made of a pressed wood pulp composite material. The graphics and lettering on this sign display a the contents of a keg of beer with the main ingredients which include a “good measure” of “Rice Hops Sugar Malt”. The lettering on this sign reads “You Get More Out Of Hampden” and “Mild Ale – Light Beer”. On the back of this Kirby-Coggeshall-Steinau sign there is a string hanger as well as a metal “kick-stand” easel; this sign could have been displayed as a bar back display or hung on the wall to advertise the brewery’s products to patrons.
