This MC Beer Ale Porter Tray is from the Mount Carbon Brewing Company located in Pottsville, PA. This tray is probably from the 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. The initials M. C. stand for Mount Carbon; these initials were popularly used in the brewery’s marketing campaigns during the 1930’s era. The brewery used these initials on labels, cans, signs, as well as other tray variations.
This MC Beer Ale Porter Tray is one of the tougher variations out of the 6 Mount Carbon Brewery beer trays known. Currently I have 5 other variations of Mount Carbon Trays already in my collection; I’m only missing the “pie plate” version.
