Here is a Mount Carbon Pale Ale Tin Sign from the Mount Carbon Brewing Company located in Pottsville, PA.  This Mount Carbon Sign is from the 1930s era and is in very good condition considering how old it is.

The sign itself is a Lee See Art Sign made by the Leyse Aluminum Company located in Kewaunee, WIS.  Signs like these would have been displayed behind the bar or hung throughout the bars and taverns to advertise Mount Carbon Beer. This sign is made of thin stock aluminum with a small looped string hanger at the top.  I love the orange graphics on this sign especially the text adverting Pale Ale as well as the Mount Carbon Brewery keystone logo in the center of the sign.

There are actually 3 variations of this tin lee see the sign; all with similar graphics, colors, and text. The most common variation is blue in color and reads “Mount Carbon Beer Ale Porter”; click here to view that variation from my collection; and click here to view the Lord Salisbury Ale Sign variation.
