Here is a No Beer Drinking Sign that was found during the demolition of the Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This No Beer Drinking Sign is from the 1950’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. I got this sign from an older gentleman what was part of the work detail tasked with tearing down and recycling the metal of the Sunshine Brewery during it’s demolition in the early 1970’s.
It is approximately 12″ wide and is made of hand-painted metal. The lettering and graphics on this sign read “No Beer Drinking Allowed In This Area”. Signs like this one would have been displayed on the wall of a hazardous area of the brewery to detour employee accidents. It’s definitely a unique sign and I can’t say I’ve ever seen another like it before.
